The candidate will get to see results from their work in a short time frame. We typically deploy weekly. You can expect a startup feel from an established company. While the position is for a contractor, we want a new member of the team that we can work with long term - not someone who just works on a project by project basis. This position isn't for the typical contractor-for-hire firms that make sites for small/local companies. New ideas for improvement on any of the 15+ sites we own and maintain are always considered. New sites are also created as opportunities present themselves.
The position offers a flexible schedule when working at home. Brainstorming calls typically occur on a bi-weekly basis. Frequent status updates on progress updates via our ticket management system are expected.
In a performance based company, the potential for career advancement is high. Pay is negotiable based on experience and results.
We are looking for someone that has several years of experience in web development. Our company operates in numerous industries and focuses on numerous revenue sources, so there is always something fresh to work on. The applicant will be developing and maintaining web sites in the PHP programming language that heavily use MySQL databases. Job duties will include debugging existing code, adding additional features to existing websites, developing new websites, loading data sets, analyzing data sets, and data presentation.
